FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for attempted murder after three people were found stabbed Wednesday night.
Deputies were called out to Duck Lane Drive around 9:30 P.M., according to NCSO.
According to witnesses, a person was physically attacked in their driveway by 41-year-old Jeremy Eugene Darity, prompting two other people to step in.
One of the people who interfered was stabbed multiple times with a knife and driven to the hospital with serious injuries before deputies arrived, while the other victims sustained minor injuries.
Adam Crosby is one of the victims who stepped in to help his neighbor.

“They went to the ground, and he started stabbing him,” said Crosby.
Crosby told Action News Jax he was stabbed twice.
“I was just trying to help get him off the other guy,” said Crosby.
All three victims and the suspect live on the same property.
Crosby, who’s lived there for about 4 months, said he’s interacted with the suspect before and said this was all very unexpected.
“He’s really been alright,” said Crosby. “I really personally just talked to him the other day and took him to the store, so I don’t know what’s going on.”
NCSO said law enforcement has been called to the address multiple times in the past.
Darity is being held on a $600,000+ bond at the Nassau County jail on several charges, including two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.
