It was Monday morning when officers responded to a call about a “large area of blood” outside the home on 15th Street West and the body of a woman found wrapped in multiple blankets.

“We have petty crimes, but this has never happened. A lot of older people live here also.”

Originally, officers said a friend of the victim showed up to her home after she did not hear from her this morning.
“At first, we thought she died from natural causes but one of the girls down the street told me it was her mom and her mom was murdered.”
Officers confirmed the woman was dead at the scene.
