The Walt Disney Company commits $15 Million to combat California wildfires

BURBANK, CA. — The Walt Disney Company has committed $15 Million to the Los Angeles area for fire relief as well as rebuilding efforts.

In a statement released by the company, they stated how they intend to support organizations offering essential services to the community, such as the American Red Cross, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

The Walt Disney Company also stated they plan to increase resources to the Employee Relief Fund to help any employees who have been affected.

Also in the statement, the company states they will be working with the local business communities to find ways to rebuild and strengthen the region.

“As this tragedy continues to unfold, The Walt Disney Company is committed to supporting our community and our employees as we all work together to recover and rebuild from this unbelievable devastation,” said Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company. “We are proud to assist this resilient and vibrant community in this moment of need.”
