Traffic alert: Crash involving pedestrian closes roads in Flagler Estates

Hastings, Fla. — UPDATE 9 a.m. - Deputies say the victim is a teenage boy who was walking to the bus stop. Deputies are looking for a vehicle with front-end damage. Anyone with information is asked to call SJSO at 904-824-8304 or CrimeStoppers at 888-277-TIPS.

UPDATE 8:45 a.m. - The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office confirms this is a hit-and-run crash. Deputies are asking neighbors in the area to check to see if their exterior video cameras captured the incident. St. Johns County Fire Rescue told us the victim was airlifted in critical condition.

ORIGINAL STORY: Delgado Avenue to Carpenter Avenue is closed in Flagler Estates after a crash.

According to a social media post by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, a teenager was hit by a vehicle at Palatka Boulevard.

Deputies are asking drivers to avoid the area.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is investigating at hit-and-run involving a teenager at Palatka Blvd and Carpenter Ave in Flagler Estates. The suspect vehicle is outstanding at this time. The vehicle will have front end damage.
