JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The off-ramp to Beach Boulevard from northbound Kernan Boulevard is closed because of a crash.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a man in his mid-30s driving northbound on Kernan in a Nissan SUV hit a curb, ran off the road and hit a tree.
He was killed.
The ramp will remain closed until JSO completes its investigation. It is expected to reopen around 8 a.m.
This is the 74th traffic fatality in Duval County this year.
