PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — A school bus with 25 children on board escaped injury to its passengers Monday morning after police say the driver ran a stop sign in Putnam County.
The bus, driven by a 45-year-old Interlachen woman, was traveling eastbound on Adrian Avenue as a pickup truck pulling a trailer was traveling northbound on Mariners Lake Drive.

“The driver of the school bus failed to stop at the stop sign when making a right turn onto Mariners Lake Drive and violated the pickup’s right of way,” a Florida Highway Patrol news release states. “As a result the left side mirror of the school bus struck the left side mirror of the pickup.”
No injuries were reported in the wreck, the news release states.
