JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s been almost three years since Jared Bridegan was shot and killed in a Jacksonville Beach neighborhood. And now, new documents reveal the gunman, Henry Tenon, who pleaded guilty, may have given a “false testimony.”
Tenon said those two words over three weeks ago during a court hearing in his case.

He does not specify what he is talking about.
“We don’t know what that was said about whether it was his testimony, someone else’s testimony, or an allegation saying my testimony was not false testimony,” said Dale Carson, former FBI agent.

Carson said Tenon’s attorney is prohibited from telling anyone what exactly Tenon was trying to say.
Now lawyers for Mario Fernandez Saldana, the man accused of plotting the murder of Bridegan, are requesting what steps the state has taken to void Tenon’s plea agreement, or in the alternative, learn why his plea agreement should not be rescinded.

And it has prompted Fernandez Saldana’s lawyers to ask for any and all information regarding the context of the alleged false testimony.

Carson said if it is in fact true Tenon’s own testimony is false this could undermine the state’s case, because he’s expected to testify against the estranged couple.
There will be a court hearing on Friday. It starts at 9 a.m.
