Action News Jax Logan MacDonald reported that at approximately 3 p.m., JSO had a K9 unit searching the area surrounding the crime scene, along with officers scanning the area with metal detectors.

One Hollybrook resident said she doesn’t even usually allow her kids to play outside all that much because she doesn’t feel it’s safe.

Jarvis Williams, who grew up in the area, said it wasn’t always like this and blames a lack of community resources.

“You gotta do better. If you wanna see better, you gotta do better. It’s going to start with them. If they don’t start, it’s not going to ever stop.”
