New date added to Jacksonville mayor’s budget town halls

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A new date has been added to Mayor Donna Deegan’s ongoing budget town hall schedule, offering the community another opportunity to discuss the city’s spending priorities.

The events are free, open to the public, and no RSVP is required.

An additional town hall has since been added for September 22, which will start at 5:30 pm. All others begin at 6 pm.

The remaining town halls are listed below:

  • September 17: Riverside High School, 1200 McDuff Avenue South
  • September 18: Fort Caroline Middle School, 3787 University Club Boulevard.
  • September 22 (starts at 5:30pm): Northside Church of Christ, 4736 Avenue B.

The series began on September 2 at the Mandarin Senior Center. Since then, there were three others at First Coast High School, Ed White High School, and Fletcher High School.

The town halls are being recorded and posted to the City of Jacksonville’s YouTube page.
