JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is recovering after being shot Thursday evening in the 100 block of Mill Creek Road. Jacksonville police said the victim was attempting to deescalate an argument between a younger sibling and unknown suspects.

“A verbal argument then began between the victim and one of the suspects brandished a firearm and shot at the victim several times striking him one time in the lower flank area,” a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office news release states.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was driven to the hospital by a family member where he remained in stable condition Friday morning, the news release states.
