JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said they’ve arrested a man accused of shooting someone to death Saturday night.
Timothy Cherry, 45, is accused of shooting 69-year-old Russell Whipple to death. Police were called to the 3200 block of Dorothea Road at about 9 p.m. in reference to a person shot.
Officers arrived on the scene and found Whipple suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department rushed Whipple to the hospital where he later died, a police news release states.
Cherry was arrested and booked into the Duval County jail and is facing Murder and Attempted Murder charges, police said.
