ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Chad Michael Sadlowski, of St. Johns County, has been sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in federal prison for attempted enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.

According to a news release, court records revealed an undercover detective with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was posing online as the uncle of an 8-year-old female. From Apr. 25, 2024, through Apr. 28, 2024, Sadlowski messaged with the undercover detective.
Sadlowski wrote “a variety of sexually explicit messages” and “expressed a desire to have sex” with the 8-year-old.
He agreed to meet at a local gas station to have sex with the minor.

Sadlowski was arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office while driving to the location. He was in his hospital scrubs as he planned to go to his job at Mayo Clinic after the illegal encounter.
According to the news release, after being arrested, he admitted to traveling to meet a child for sex, talking to minors online, and asking them for inappropriate photos.

“This investigation highlights the ever-present threat for children online, and this predator’s reprehensible actions demonstrate a coldhearted disregard for the life and well-being of a child,” Tim Hemker, Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) Jacksonville Assistant Special Agent in Charge, said in the release.
Sadlowski pled guilty in Oct. 2024.
He was also ordered to serve a 10-year term of supervised release and register as a sex offender.
