Law enforcement still searching for suspects responsible for Sunday shooting in Dinsmore

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Local law enforcement agencies are still trying to identify the suspects from Sunday’s shooting at a Wendy’s in the Dinsmore area.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a 20-year-old man was shot in the chest and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

As of Monday, the victim is still there.

Investigators said the victim had been waiting to meet one of the suspects when another man showed up and started shooting.

The suspects reportedly drove off, headed north, and ditched their car in Folkston, Georgia.

This put Charlton County on lockdown Sunday.

The Charlton County sheriff said no arrests have been made, but deputies are interviewing persons of interest in this case.

The lockdown has also been lifted.
