JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A male in his mid teens was hospitalized after being shot in the back early Wednesday in Arlington. Jacksonville police said during a news conference Wednesday morning that the teen was caught in the crossfire during a shootout between groups in two vehicles.
Police responded to the 3700 block of Rogero Road near Fort Caroline Road at about 1:45 a.m. in response to a person shot.
Police said they have detained three people and located three firearms at the location of the incident. Police also said they have recovered the two vehicles involved in the shootout.
Police characterized the teen’s injuries as non-life threatening.
