A woman from Lake City died early Sunday morning after a two-car crash on I-10, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a sedan driven by the 29-year-old woman was traveling west on the inside westbound lane of I-10, just east of the US Hwy 441 exit, when she stopped in the lane for unknown reasons.
A sport utility vehicle driven by a 36-year-old man from Jacksonville, also traveling west in the same lane behind the sedan, was unable to react in time and struck the rear of the sedan.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV driver was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said.
Authorities say the crash remains under investigation.
