A Duval County jury found Ball guilty Monday of first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, shooting or throwing throwing deadly missiles, and tampering or harassing a victim.
His co-defendant, Xavion Porter, who was 16 at the time of Wyche’s death, is charged with conspiracy to commit murder. He remains in Duval County jail on no bond. His next pretrial is Feb. 26.
Jacksonville police said Wyche was dropping a friend off in Sherwood Forest, a neighborhood on Jacksonville’s Northside, when a gray car pulled up in front of her on Portsmouth Avenue. Two men got out and started firing, police said.
Wyche was shot and killed inside her car.
