JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A young teenager was killed Thursday afternoon after being hit by a car on the Northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO reports that just before 4 pm, a teenager was crossing the road on Biscayne Boulevard near Marsh Hen Drive. That’s when they were hit by a pickup truck.
Although the teenager was provided medical aid, they were declared dead upon arriving at the hospital.
JSO said the driver is cooperating in their investigation.

All lanes of Biscayne Boulevard were temporarily closed between Raven Drive South and High Plains Drive West due to the crash.
JSO said this is the 100th traffic death in Duval County this year.
