JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on police activity in Oceanway on Friday night.
People living near Webb Road, which is off Duval Station Road, reported on social media sites like Nextdoor and Facebook that they were seeing a heavy police presence in the area, including helicopters and patrol cars.

Action News Jax sent a crew Friday night to the area, but updates on the investigation were not available at that time.
JSO told Action News Jax on Saturday morning that officers were responding to reports of a person shot and that it “is still an active investigation.”
Police said that more information will be shared as it becomes available, and that “there is no outstanding threat to the community.”
