JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman’s body was found covered with blankets in the backyard of a home in the Durkeeville neighborhood Monday morning.
It happened in the 1600 block of West 15th Street near Grunthal Street.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said one person has been detained for questioning.
Investigators said that on Sunday night, someone heard a woman yell, “Help, he’s going to kill me!” Someone else reported hearing gunshots police said.

On Monday, a friend came looking for the victim and found blood and the body under blankets.
