The personal finance company compared all 50 states on 31 key factors of a “positive commute.” These factors include cost of ownership and maintenance, traffic and infrastructure, safety, and access to vehicles and maintenance. They even looked at average gas prices, rush-hour traffic congestion, and road quality.
These are Florida’s rankings:
- Cost of ownership and maintenance rank: 32
- Traffic and infrastructure rank: 45
- Safety rank: 8
- Access to vehicles and maintenance: 2
Georgia is ranked slightly higher at 11.
The study found Kansas is the best state to drive in, and Hawaii is the worst.
