MIDDLEBURG, Fla. — Valentine’s Day may bring back memories of unfortunate partners, but a local animal shelter says it can “fix” that for you.
Now through February 14th, Safe Animal Shelter in Clay County will name one of its feral cats after your ex or any other person you’re not fond of, in exchange for a $25 donation.

You won’t just be getting a little petty satisfaction. The fundraiser contributes to an important cause.
All donations will go towards funding the shelter’s ‘TNVR’ program – which stands for Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Release.
Your “ex” will be trapped, given some shots, and released back where they were found, just without the baby-making parts.
The goal is to prevent more homeless kittens from being born and contributing to over-population in the area.

Just make sure to leave the name you want to give to the feral cat in the comment section on the donation page.
Safe says to watch its social media pages - your ‘ex’ may be featured in a post.
In the month of January, the shelter says it was able to fix 52 stray cats.
