JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- Isolated storms are shifting inland Saturday evening
- JIA got almost 2″ of rain this afternoon and it barely rained anywhere else in Duval
- Onshore winds continue Sunday and each day next week
- There will be an isolated shower near the coast each morning
- The heaviest storms shift inland each afternoon
- The days look even drier still by late week & next weekend
- Temperatures will stay near average in the upper 80s and low 90s
- But it is a bit of a refresher closer to the coast thanks to the east winds
TROPICS
- Two areas to watch in the Atlantic basin
- The remnants of Dolly will track toward the Bahamas the next few days
- Development is not likely but we’re tracking it
- Weak low pressure is in the North Central Gulf headed westbound
- Development chances are also low but it will be moving away from FL regardless
- The next named storms will be “Edouard” and “Fay”
