First Alert Weather: A couple fronts to bring changeable weather this week into the weekend

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The First Alert Weather Team gave you the First Alert on Monday’s sea breezes, and the fog is expected to continue Tuesday.

Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the rest of the week:

  • A surge of winds out of the northeast will bring fog into the area overnight along with some mist at times.
  • The low clouds and some fog will continue into Tuesday morning before some afternoon sun. A brief shower may occur but amounts will be light. High temperatures will range from the 60s over Southeast Georgia to the 70s over Northeast Florida.
  • Back to unseasonably warm temperatures Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 80s.
  • An approaching cold front Thursday will bring showers and possibly a thunderstorm late in the day into the night followed by briefly cooler temperatures Friday with continued scattered showers.
  • Another stronger cold front over the weekend will be preceded by warm temperatures Saturday then showers and possibly a thunderstorm Sunday.

TUESDAY: Fog early otherwise mostly cloudy with some drizzle, and a brief shower. High: 78

WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny & warm. High: 84 (record=84/1994)

THURSDAY: Increasing clouds & breezy with showers, a thunderstorm late, especially north & west of Jax. 62/84 (record=89/2020)

FRIDAY: Cloudy, cooler with some drizzle, a few showers. 58/67

SATURDAY: Becoming partly sunny, warming up again. 57/81

SUNDAY: Increasing clouds, breezy, showers developing, possibly a thunderstorm. 62/79

MONDAY: Partly to mostly sunny, breezy & cooler. 46/66
