FHP: Orlando man killed after his car hit back of abandoned charter bus on I-95 in St. Johns County

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A man was killed Friday morning after his car hit the back of an abandoned disabled charter bus that was on the side of Interstate 95 southbound, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Crews were dispatched to the crash site, located just south of State Road 206, at about 11:15 a.m.

The man, a 25-year-old from Orlando, was driving a Nissan Altima that “drove off the roadway” and hit the back of the charter bus, FHP said.

No one was on the bus at the time of the crash.

FHP said its Traffic Homicide Investigations Unit is investigating the crash.
