FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a giant piece of ice crashed through the roof of a home in Palm Coast.
The Palm Coast Fire Department and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office responded to the home on Seattle Trail in the Seminole Woods neighborhood just before 3:40 pm on Monday.

According to Palm Coast Fire Chief, Kyle Berryhill, the block of ice was more 6 feet long and 3 feet wide in some places. He told Action News Jax’s Orlando station WFTV that a witness watched the ice seemingly fall from the sky before it crashed through the metal roof of a home and landed in the street.
“A chunk of ice that is size of a person could cause tremendous injury be fatal,” said Berryhill.
