JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE, 9:15 A.M.: JSO says they received multiple 911 calls at around 3:30 a.m. regarding a dispute.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a deceased man in his 40s in a hallway. The man appeared to have been beaten to death.
JSO is actively investigating the people involved. Their relationship to the man and what led to the incident is still unknown.

UPDATE, 8:28 A.M.: JSO told Action News Jax that this is an active homicide investigation. Police said earlier that they responded to a violent domestic dispute at Cross Creek Apartments, 1441 Manotak Avenue.

UPDATE, 6:35 A.M.: Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office gave an update on the police activity, saying, “Officers responded to a violent domestic dispute in this area.”

5:30 A.M. Action News Jax is on the scene Wednesday morning of heavy police activity on the Westside. A section of Cross Creek Apartments, 1441 Manotak Ave., is cordoned off with police tape. The development is located off of Normandy Boulevard.
