In court on Wednesday Arbery’s mother Wanda Cooper-Jones laid out her interactions with Johnson.
The jury found out she has never received a phone call from Johnson to this day and the only time they ever spoke was one time in-person outside of the Glynn County Courthouse.
Arbery’s mom outlined to jurors how she felt after losing her son and why it took so long for her to get answers in her son’s case.
“I didn’t know what had happened to my baby,” said Cooper-Jones.
And for the longest time, she said she had no information about the three men involved in the shooting, who were ultimately convicted of murder.

Two of those men are father and son Greg and Travis McMichael.
Greg McMichael was Johnson’s former investigator.
And After the murder, phone records show he called Johnson, which is something jurors heard from video evidence presented in court Wednesday. It was a conversation Greg McMichael had with Glynn County Sheriff’s deputy Rod Nohilly.
Deputy Nohilly knew him and they were professional friends.
The jury found out that Nohilly told Travis McMichael that he would not be arrested during an interview the day of the shooting.
“I knew they were going home,” said Nohilly.
Action News Jax will continue to follow the case as the trial of Jackie Johnson continues in Glynn County Thursday.
