JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Friday night in an incident on the westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police say they responded to the shooting at 11000 Nathanial Gorham Way around 9 p.m.
The boy was taken to a local hospital by first responders but later died.

An initial investigation by JSO determined that there was a fight that led up to the gunfire.
The relationship between the victim and others is currently unknown.
