Jaguars open season in Philadelphia against Eagles

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Minus Cecil Shorts the Jacksonville Jaguars have arrived in Philadelphia anxious to begin the 2014 NFL regular-season.

Jaguars cornerback Alan Ball said NFL kickoff weekend never gets dull, and you still get nervous even after playing in the league for a few years.

In their previous 19 years, the Jaguars are 11-8 on opening day.

The Jaguars may be 10 1/2 point underdogs but they are a confident bunch, and their defense should be much improved this year with the addition of Red Bryant and Chris Clemons on the defensive line.

Don't forget to join us on Jaguars Tailgate Sunday at 11 a.m. on FOX30. It's followed by the Countdown to Kickoff show at 11:30 a.m. on FOX30 and CBS 47.

The Jaguars play the Eagles on CBS 47 at 1 p.m., the home of the Jaguars fan.

We will have a complete wrap of all the NFL Kickoff weekend highlights Sunday night on Action Sports 360.
