First Coast YMCA is collecting book donations for Tenikka’s Books for Kids 2022

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax Family Focus Partner First Coast YMCA is a drop-off site for Tenikka’s Books for Kids 2022.

This year’s book donation drive is March 7-19, 2022. We are collecting new and very gently used books for local children from birth to 18-years-old.

You can drop off books at any of the YMCA’s 14 locations in our area. You can find a list of their locations below:

All of the books collected for Tenikka’s Books for Kids are given to children who meet their reading goals, during the Jacksonville Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, at no cost to their families.

The YMCA has been working in our community since 1908. The organization says works with a focus on “empowering young people, improving health and well-being and inspiring action in and across communities.”
