Safety and Crime Reduction Commission Hosting a Healthy Mind Matters Back-to-School Event

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — The Safety and Crime Reduction Commission (SCRC), in partnership with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), continues to work to end the stigma surrounding mental health care and provide helpful resources.

Join commissioners at the next Community Bus Tour: A Healthy Mind Matters Back-to-School Event on August 13th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Philippian Community Church, 7578 New Kings Rd.

Mental health experts, Duval County Public School (DCPS), Kids Hope Alliance (KHA), and vendors will be on hand to share information with parents, children, and the community.

School supplies and back packs will be provided. The goal is to let everyone know about the importance of mental health care and prepared for a successful new school year.

This is a free event for the whole family with games and food. As the fourth SCRC and JTA Community Bus Tour which included stops on the Eastside, Northside, and in Arlington (Justina neighborhood) residents have the opportunity to know that help is available.
