YULEE, Fla. — On Monday night, Nassau County Sheriff’s Office hosted a large turnout for its second NCSO Women’s Self Defense class of 2023.
STORY: Visit Florida targets Ian ‘misperceptions’ in new tourism campaign
NCSO said that the free self-defense program is focused on empowerment, and it wants to help educate women on how they can better protect themselves and increase their situational awareness to stay safe.
The program has dates scheduled through April. Classes are from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and all paperwork must be turned in prior to the class.
