Woman wins $1M on 500X the Cash

A Jacksonville woman won $1 million on a scratch-off game she bought from an Avondale gas station.

Loretta Bolton purchased the winning the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at AP Express at 3621 Park Street in Jacksonville, the Florida Lottery announced Thursday.

She claimed her prize at the Lottery’s Jacksonville District Office and chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.

The retailer will get a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket, the Florida Lottery said.

The $50 game, 500X THE CASH, features a top prize of $25 million—the largest ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off game. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.
