Cooler air, more sunshine for return to work and school

Jacksonville, Fl — Headed back to work and school following Thanksgiving weekend will be much cooler and more sunny. Sunday set a record with 84 degrees, besting the 1973 record of 83.

Clear skies will allow morning lows to fall into the 50s and 40s the next couple of mornings. Action News Jax Meteorologist Trevor Gibbs is tracking temperatures into the mid-70s today and Tuesday with mostly sunny skies.

A few showers return late Wednesday as another front approaches. It will be the warmest day of the week with temperatures in the low 80s.

Following that front, temperatures will be much lower on Thursday and with a stiff breeze, it’s going to feel much cooler. Temperatures will only top out in the upper 60s.

The end of the week and upcoming weekend looks phenomenal. Temperatures will climb to the mid-70s with mostly sunny conditions.
