Around Jax: New food and self-care coming to the River City

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A new restaurant close to the beach and a place you can go for a little self-care are just some of the places you can plan to enjoy around Jacksonville soon!

Action News Jax found out that a massage boutique is coming to the Markets at Town Center by looking through building permits.

It will have several massage rooms and even offers specific services for the athletes in your family. However, there is no word on the opening date yet.

Speaking of opening dates, Action News Jax told you back in January about an Italian spot opening at Atlantic Beach. Salumeria 104 is now open for business!

You can find the restaurant at the heart of Atlantic Beach, across the street from One Ocean Resort and Spa.

Salumeria 104 said that it plans to offer a wide variety of salumis, antipasti, homemade pastas, meats, fish and desserts. The 15-seat bar boasts a full liquor license and will serve Italian favorites, as well as offering a curated wine list and local craft beers.

You can find the full menu HERE.

Salmeria 104 has Chef Michael Ayres as head chef for the Atlantic Beach location. Ayres spent 10 years as head chef at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort and Beach Club, leaving to open Mezza Luna as executive chef.
